Despite an ethics investigation into a deal involving the office of former City Administrator Rashad Young and Howard University, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser wants the city council to move forward next month with a second vote to approve funding for a replacement hospital on the schoolโ€™s Northwest campus.

On Friday, Young abruptly vacated the post heโ€™d held since 2015 running daily operations of the Bowser administration after it was revealed he had been in talks with the university to secure a job after negotiating a deal for nearly $300โ€‰million in tax breaks and public funding for a new hospital.

Bowser said Monday during a news conference that she will share findings from the Board of Ethics and Accountabilityโ€™s investigation, WTOP reported.
