Itโ€™s going to be tough sledding for candidates vying to unseat D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser in the June primary, if the campaign finance reports are any indication.

Bowser, 47, has raised $2 million since announcing her re-election bid last summer, including $600,000 since mid-December, according to financial records submitted this week.

The Districtโ€™s eighth and widely popular mayor, who has been in office since 2015, so far lacks any credible challengers. Hopefuls have until March 21 to file a declaration of candidacy for the June 19 Democratic primary.
