Bruce Williamson, a former lead singer with The Temptations, has died at age 49.

Williamson, who joined the legendary group in 2006, died at a Las Vegas hospital Sunday night after a battle with the novel coronavirus, TMZ reported.

As a member of The Temptations, Williamson, a Compton, Calif., native, was brought into the group’s ever-changing lineup alongside Otis Williams, its lone remaining founding member. He sang lead on their studio albums “Still Here” and “Back To Front” before leaving the group in 2015.

“There’s no words in the world that can express how I feel right now,” Williamson’s son, Bruce Jr., wrote on Facebook. “I love you Daddy thank you for being awesome thank you for being loving thank you for being Who You Are I pray to God and we will meet again. “I love you Daddy R.I.H KING WILLIAMSON.”
