California the 1st State to Surpass 800,000 Coronavirus Infections

California has emerged as the first state to pass 800,000 confirmed coronavirus cases.

The country’s most populous state now has 800,273 cases, including 15,411 deaths, CNN reported Friday, citing a Johns Hopkins University tracker.

Texas, the second-most populous state, had identified 747,366 infections with 15,510 deaths, while Florida had 693,040 cases and 13,795 deaths, CNN reported.

As Friday, the U.S. had roughly 7 million coronavirus cases and 203,000 deaths, according to the tracker.
