An ensemble forecast from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention projects 205,000 to 217,000 coronavirus-related deaths in the U.S. by Oct. 3.

The CDC’s previous ensemble forecast, published Sept. 3, calculated up to 211,000 coronavirus demises by Sept. 26, according to CNN.

The CDC forecast estimates roughly 13,000 and 25,000 more people will die in the next three weeks, CNN reported.

The U.S. had roughly 6.4 million coronavirus cases and 192,000 related deaths as of Friday, according to a Johns Hopkins University tracker.
