When we opened our doors in April 2025, Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health made a commitment to the Wards 7 and 8 communities, becoming the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC, in more than 25 years.

Meet Kimberlee Daniels, MBA, FACHE, Chief Executive Officer. โI came to Cedar Hill because I wanted to be part of something important, leading a new hospital with one mission: delivering excellent healthcare East of the River,โ she says. โAnd itโs working.โ
Bringing Healthcare Home
At Cedar Hill, our patients are our neighbors. We believe our community deserves high-quality, compassionate healthcare services, right in our backyard.
Residents turn to our hospital for a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including emergency care, cardiology, orthopedics and behavioral health. We also offer advanced surgical techniques, urology, womenโs services, rehabilitation and more.

Cedar Hill proudly welcomes the next generation of our neighbors. Expectant parents no longer have to travel for quality care. We opened access to prenatal care and timely treatment for high-risk pregnancies, as well as a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for babies requiring specialized care and a Pediatric Emergency Department.
Antonia Williams and Bertrand Ngampa welcomed a healthy baby boy at Cedar Hill this year. Ngampa said, “Cedar Hill Regional restored our faith in healthcare and changed my familyโs future. They earned our complete trust, respect and loyalty.โ
Convenient Outpatient Care
Cedar Hill opened access to a range of outpatient services for the whole family here on campus. Affiliated clinicians offer outpatient primary care and specialty services located at our facility, such as cardiology, colorectal cancer screening, podiatry, surgery and more. The hospital itself offers outpatient imaging (X-ray, MRI, CT, ultrasound), laboratory and physical therapy.
Hitting Our Stride
As our services expand, so do the number of patients seeking our care. We are pleased to see much of that care received by our closest neighbors. In addition, our new hospital hired 168 DC residents and invested more than $850,000 in local small businesses.
Cedar Hill Urgent Care GW Health in Ward 7 already expanded local access to care and we are far from finished transforming healthcare in the community. Our hospital continues to connect with many established physicians to enhance our services and care for more patients.
Investing in Our Community
Community voices matter to Cedar Hill, as residents play a meaningful role in how we shape our growth and priorities. We participated in many community-focused initiatives over the past year, including community health fairs, hiring events and health education. Connecting with our neighbors helps increase awareness of our services, and encourages residents to seek crucial preventive and primary care.
Building a Healthier Future
Cedar Hill is dedicated to helping to ensure our community can access high-quality, patient-centered healthcare, close to home.
โIt is a privilege and a mission to care for our neighbors, when and where they need it. Our hospital is here to listen, serve and help improve health outcomes for patients across our region,โ says CEO Daniels.
