Civil Rights Strategist Wyatt Tee Walker Dies

The Rev. Wyatt Tee Walker, the civil rights activist who walked alongside Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., died Tuesday. He was 88.
Walker, a chief of staff for King, was also a key strategist behind civil rights protests against racial injustice in the Jim Crow era of the 1960s.
Walker, who died at an assisted-living facility in Chester, Va., also worked with the Rev. Al Sharpton’s National Action Network as its first board chair.
