Comcast has named Michael Parker, a graduate of the Officer Candidates School in Quantico, Va., as its top Beltway region executive.
In his new capacity, Parker, a Chicago native, will be responsible for operations, overall customer experience and financial performance for approximately 2.5 million customers in Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and parts of Delaware, North Carolina and West Virginia.
“I’m excited to return to the Beltway region and continue our commitment to deliver great experiences for employees and customers alike,” Parker said in a Comcast press release.
Parker holds an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and earned degrees from the University of Miami School of Law and Lake Forest College.
“I am equally excited for him as he assumes responsibility for our Beltway region, the largest operating region in the Northeast division,” said Kevin Casey, president of Comcast’s Northeast Division, who has worked with Parker over the past decade.
