โ€œComing 2 America,โ€ the sequel to Eddie Murphyโ€™s beloved 1988 hit, will make its streaming debut Friday on Amazon Prime.

The new movie, co-written by โ€œBlack-ishโ€ creator Kenya Barris, follows Murphyโ€™s Akeem, the African prince-turned-king, on his return to New York City with confidant Semmi (Arsenio Hall) to reunite with his long-lost son, whom Akeem is tasked with grooming as the next crown prince of Zamunda.

In addition to Murphy and Hall, several other original cast members of โ€œComing to Americaโ€ will reprise their roles, including James Earl Jones (King Jaffe Joffer), Shari Headley (Lisa McDowell), John Amos (Cleo McDowell) and Louie Anderson (Maurice).

Among the new faces in the sequel are Wesley Snipes, Leslie Jones, Tracy Morgan, KiKi Layne, Rick Ross, Luenell, Rotimi, Michael Blackson and Teyana Taylor.
