The Washington Commanders held their mandatory veteran minicamp period between June 6-18 at the BigBear.ai Performance Center in Ashburn, Virginia, offering another early glimpse of a team determined to build momentum heading into the 2026 season.

As Washington unveiled portions of its newly installed offensive and defensive systems, the Commanders began to establish the identity they hope will define the upcoming season.

With two new coordinators continuing to implement leadership, running back and wide receiver groups showcasing their versatility, an upgraded defensive line taking shape, and the defensive backs showing an early glimpse of depth, the Commanders are already setting the tone they hope will carry into the upcoming season.

โ€œThe difference for minicamp will be Iโ€™m really pushing some of the guysโ€ฆto see where theyโ€™re at,โ€ said head coach Dan Quinn. โ€œAll of us know itโ€™s not a question of if, but when you know youโ€™re going to need this type of depth. I really want to shine a light on it to see how competitive the group can get leading into training camp, so we can absolutely push one another at a higher spot. And exercises like this over the next three days kind of reinforce that to say, โ€˜This is the standard, this is the execution weโ€™re expecting.โ€™โ€
