D.C. has the highest unemployment rate in the nation when compared with states, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The city’s jobless rate in September was 4.7%, WTOP reported. By comparison, Minnesota had the nation’s lowest rate at 2%, followed by Utah and Vermont at 2.1%.

The Bureau posts monthly state jobless statistics and changes to the civilian workforce online, WTOP reported.
