D.C. Probes Possible Counterfeit N95 Masks at Fire Stations: Report

D.C. Fire and EMS is reportedly investigating counterfeit N95 masks possibly circulating at fire stations throughout the city.

WTTG-TV (Channel 5), which first revealed the possible forgery, said the source of the masks or how long they had been in use aren’t unknown, though WTTG’s Evan Lambert cited sources who told him the batch came from the D.C. Office of Contracting and Procurement.

Lambert said he is also looking into whether other District agencies have the counterfeit masks.
