D.C. Readies for Annual High Heel Race

D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser invites the public to join her on Tuesday, Oct. 29 for the 33rd annual 17th Street High Heel Race.

The race is one of the District’s most unique events. Thousands of spectators pack the Dupont Circle neighborhood to watch hundreds of costumed drag queens show off extravagant outfits and race down 17th Street in Northwest.

Schedule of Events:

• Parade starts at 7 p.m.
• Race starts at 9 p.m. (the entire race will last less than 10 minutes)
