D.C. is set to hold its next Community Corps Day of Action Day this weekend, and help is needed from family, friends and civic groups to help more neighbors plan to get vaccinated, city officials said.

The event will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Volunteers can join by registering on the District’s online portal.

Mayor Muriel Bowser recently hosted the first DC COVID-19 Community Corps Day of Action to inform residents about the city’s walk-up vaccination sites and to offer support in helping them get their COVID-19 vaccine.

So far, more than 1,000 community volunteers have knocked on over 12,000 doors across all 8 wards of the city, according to the mayor’s office.
