The Bowser administration released its list of high-risk states District residents should avoid nonessential travel to, with New Mexico added to the list and Arizona being removed.
The mayor’s office said 31 states are currently on the list.
Maryland and Virginia are exempted from Mayor Muriel Bowser’s order issued in late July mandating anyone from high-risk states who travel to the District for nonessential activities to self-quarantine for 14 days.
Nearby Delaware and West Virginia remain on the ist because their seven-day moving average of daily new coronavirus cases is 10 or more per 100,000 persons.
The list will be updated Oct. 19, the mayor’s release reported.
As of Monday, the District has recorded more than 15,000 coronavirus cases, including 631 deaths, according to city statistics.
