Comedian D.L. Hughley has tested positive for coronavirus after collapsing on a Nashville, Tennessee, comedy club stage during a performance.
Hughley, 57, said in a video posted online Saturday that he was treated for exhaustion and dehydration afterward.
“I also tested positive for COVID-19, which blew me away,” he said. “I was what they call asymptomatic.”
Hughley said he still hasn’t exhibited any of the typical symptoms associated with COVID-19 such as shortness of breath or fever.
“So, in addition to all the other stuff you have to look out for, if [you] pass out in the middle of a show, onstage, you probably need to get tested,” he quipped.
Hughley added that he will quarantine in his Nashville hotel room in for 14 days.
