What is your perspective on ranked-choice voting?

Anthony Riggio, Northwest D.C.
โ€œElections can come down to a lot of big numbers and a lot of close calls at times. I definitely think the ranked choice will get a better representation of what the people want.โ€

Raโ€™Mya Davis, Northeast D.C.
โ€œI’m not really too sure what ranking candidates is going to do in terms of how the candidates get their votes. I think when you are a part of a certain ward in D.C., you might be more lenient towards that council member of your ward.โ€

India Moore, Northwest D.C.
โ€œI feel like it would be good for this city. They don’t have to go back in and revote and re-tally everything. Everything would just already be in there.โ€

Grant Fortune, Northeast D.C.
โ€œAny opportunity that gives people transparency and honesty in their voting process is something that I think should be pushed forward.โ€

Will M., Northeast D.C.
โ€œIn my personal opinion, I don’t think itโ€™s probably the best idea โ€”ย it gives people too many options, and then they’re not really sure who to put down.โ€
