DALLAS (USA Today)—Dallas nurse Nina Pham, the first U.S. health care worker diagnosed with Ebola, is seen talking and sitting up in her hospital bed in a short video released Thursday before she was transferred to a federal facility in Maryland.

Pham wipes away tears as she prepares to depart Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas for treatment at the NIH center in Bethesda, Md., in the video posted on You Tube and distributed by the hospital.
