Washington, D.C.
- Early voting is from Oct. 29-Nov. 5.
- Absentee ballots must be received by Nov. 8.
- On Election Day, polls are open 7 a.m.-8 p.m. Anyone in line by 8 p.m. will be allowed to vote.
- The deadline to register to vote by mail or online or to update an existing registration for the Nov. 8 general election is Tuesday, Oct. 11.
- In the District, there is same-day registration and voting.
Maryland
- Early voting runs from Oct. 27-Nov. 3.
