PITTSFORD, N.Y. (AP) — Linebacker Ikemefuna Enemkpali is a member of the Buffalo Bills after passing his physical, and will address the media for the first time since breaking New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith’s jaw during a locker-room altercation.

The Bills announced Enemkpali will issue a statement at the team’s training camp facility in Rochester on Thursday afternoon.

The Bills claimed the second-year player off of waivers on Wednesday, a day after he was released by the Jets because he hit Smith with a sucker punch.

In Buffalo, he is reunited with Bills coach Rex Ryan, who coached the Jets last season.

Though Enemkpali has not yet practiced with the Bills, Ryan is still considering making him active for Buffalo’s preseason opener against Carolina on Friday night.
