Everyone who will receive the coronavirus vaccine will also get a record card to log shot histories and help remind of due dates for the follow-up doses.

The cards will be sent out as a part of vaccination kits from Operation Warp Speed, federal authorities said. Images of the cards were sent out Wednesday.

Dr. Kelly Moore, associate director of the Immunization Action Coalition, a pro-vaccine nonprofit, said vaccination cards are the simplest way to keep track of coronavirus shots, CNN reported.

“Everyone will be issued a written card that they can put in their wallet that will tell them what they had and when their next dose is due,” Moore said. “Let’s do the simple, easy thing first. Everyone’s going to get that.”

Pfizer and Moderna are seeking emergency authorization from the Food and Drug Administration for their coronavirus vaccines. If approved, shipments of the vaccine could go out as early as Dec. 15, according to Operation Warp Speed documents.
