Tributes to Michael Jackson have continued to abound as his legion of loyal fans mark the 10th anniversary of the iconic pop starโ€™s death.

โ€œTen years ago, today, the world lost a gifted artist and extraordinary humanitarian,โ€ the Jackson estate said in a statement. โ€œA decade later, Michael Jackson is still with us, his influence embedded in dance, fashion, art and music of the moment. He is more important than ever.โ€

Jacksonโ€™s personal physician Conrad Murray was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the singerโ€™s sudden death at age 50 on June 25, 2009. Murray, who administered the drug propofol to treat Jacksonโ€™s insomnia, was not qualified to do so.

Meanwhile, fans across the country are engaging in various remembrances of Jackson.

They include those who will gather at the Hollywood Walk of Fame, where the singerโ€™s star outside the TCL Chinese Theatre continues to draw a constant gathering of selfie-snapping tourists, as nearby souvenir shops, street performers and even tattoo parlors report brisk sales and trade in all things Jackson.
