More than 500,000 people worldwide have now died from the novel coronavirus, according to a Johns Hopkins University tracker.

More than 10 million cases have been recorded worldwide, with the U.S. and Europe making up half of the world’s cases.

The U.S. has more than a quarter of the world’s cases (2.5 million) and deaths (125,000) as of Monday, according to the Johns Hopkins data.
