Houston, Notorious B.I.G. Among Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductees

Legendary singer Whitney Houston and slain rap icon The Notorious B.I.G. are among the six acts to be inducted this year into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Houston, who died in 2012, and B.I.G., who was killed in 1997, were first-ballot selections for the hall. The two will be inducted alongside Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, the Doobie Brothers and T. Rex.

The induction ceremony will be held at Cleveland’s Public Hall on May 2 and will air live on HBO
While all of the inductees were selected for their influence on music, B.I.G.’s induction could pose a turning point, allowing for possible future inductions the likes of fellow rap artists Jay-Z, Eminem, Missy Elliott, Lauryn Hill and Kanye West, among others.
