Jameis Winston Mulling Whether to Throw at NFL Scouting Combine

(USA Today)—Former Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston is mulling whether to participate in throwing drills Saturday in Indianapolis at the NFL scouting combine, according to his quarterback coach.

“It’s a game-time decision,” George Whitfield Jr. told USA TODAY Sports Monday morning. “He’s a very big believer in himself, so it’ll be interesting. He’s prepared to do it. Whether he goes in and does it will probably be determined a couple of days from now.

“At this time, he hasn’t made a decision.”

One thing is for sure: Winston will show up in shape, Whitfield said.
