Janet Jackson announced this week that sheโ€™ll be hitting the road for a new world tour in support of her forthcoming 12th studio album, โ€œBlack Diamond.โ€

While Jackson, 53, has yet to announce dates outside of North America, the tour opens June 24 at American Airlines Arena in Miami and concludes Aug. 23 at the Tacoma Dome in Washington.

โ€œThere is a lot that I have endured. I see myself as a Black Diamond in its purest form,โ€ Jackson said in a post Monday on her Instagram page. โ€œIโ€™m a rock, I have ruff edges but I keep moving forward. I want to show you my strength as well as give you strength.โ€

The Live Nation-produced tour will include at least five concerts in California, starting with an Aug. 10 show at Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl at San Diego State University, according to a statement released Monday. It will also include a special performance of Jacksonโ€™s โ€œRhythm Nation 1814โ€ album, which recently marked its 30th anniversary.
