Kanye West will meet for lunch Thursday with Donald Trump and the president’s son in-law Jared Kushner at the White House, according to a West representative who confirmed the meeting to the New York Times.
West wants to discuss job availability for former convicts with Kushner and discuss with Trump how to bring manufacturing jobs to the rapper’s native Chicago.
The rap star voiced his support for Trump on the recent “Saturday Night Live” season premiere, where he wore a “Make America Great Again” hat.
Trump tweeted after West’s “SNL” appearance that while he did not watch, he heard that West “was great.”
