(USA Today) – The hatchet has long been buried between Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant– they’ve palled around and dapped each other up in public and stuff like that since O’Neal left Los Angeles in 2004, but they’d never really talked about it.

That changed when Bryant was a guest on O’Neal’s The Big Podcast with Shaq. On Wednesday, ESPN Radio‘s John Ireland played a snippet of the interview.

“A lot of stuff was said out of the heat of the moment,” O’Neal said. “I guarantee I don’t remember a lot of stuff that they said, because I changed my thought process of, you know what, we won three out of four, what the hell are you all talking about, this is not really even a story.”
