“You were made BY God and FOR God – until you understand that, life will never make sense.” — Rick Warren

“Winners are people with definite purpose in life.” — Denis Waitley

Forward Thinkers, the “FOG”, Favor of God, will produce LAG, “Look at God”, testimonies. Once again I’m declaring today, someone will acknowledge the “FOG” in their life; finish reading this article and start operating in the “FOG” and return with a LAG testimony. Forward Thinkers, if you believe you’re a candidate give God some crazy “FOG-LAG” praise.

Acts 9:1-15 New International Version (NIV)

9 Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord’s disciples. He went to the high priest and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any there who belonged to the Way, whether men or women, he might take them as prisoners to Jerusalem. As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?”

5 “Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked. “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied. “Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”

7 The men traveling with Saul stood there speechless; they heard the sound but did not see anyone. Saul got up from the ground, but when he opened his eyes he could see nothing. So they led him by the hand into Damascus. For three days he was blind, and did not eat or drink anything.

10 In Damascus there was a disciple named Ananias. The Lord called to him in a vision, “Ananias!” “Yes, Lord,” he answered.

11 The Lord told him, “Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying. 12 In a vision he has seen a man named Ananias come and place his hands on him to restore his sight.”

13 “Lord,” Ananias answered, “I have heard many reports about this man and all the harm he has done to your holy people in Jerusalem. 14 And he has come here with authority from the chief priests to arrest all who call on your name.”

15 But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel

Forward Thinkers, when God has a purpose and a plan for your life he will not force you to pursue it but he will allow you to experience a position of pain until you realize it. Just say YES.

Forward Thinkers, God allowed Jonah to experience a storm and a big fish before he finally said yes to God’s plan for his life. Remember Lots’ wife became a pillar of salt so Lot would not be tempted to return to his past but follow the pathway God had for his life.

Forward Thinkers, God had a grand plan for Saul’s life so he allowed him to fall from his best and temporary lose his sight. Forward Thinkers, note..Life has a way of humbling us and getting our attention.

Forward Thinkers, the reason many are struggling this season is because you’re not operating in your purpose and God refuses to allow you to become comfortable living outside your purpose.

You’ve fallen not because you’re weak but because you’re strong and you haven’t come to terms with your strength.

Forward Thinkers do you think Jesus died for us to live at this level of life? Remember the Superhero character “Superman” had to go into a phone booth and change into Superman. This generation is full of Supermen and Superwomen living life as ordinary Clark Kent because they refuse to change into their purpose. Forward Thinkers, I’ve decided to live on purpose even at the risk of dying for purpose.

Forward Thinkers, when Saul said yes, God took his sight temporary and changed his name. You can’t see things the same way if you’re going to operate in your purpose. Forward Thinkers, you have to choose to see things from the eyes of faith instead of focusing on facts because faith has the power to change facts.

Why did God have to change Saul’s name?

1) This season you can’t answer to what you used to answer to.

2) Saul represents his past Paul represents his purpose and you can’t live in your past and your purpose at the same time. Choice this day to live in your purpose or you will risk wasting today and shortchanging your tomorrow.

3) All things become new therefore embrace the new you and chase your purpose.

Forward Thinkers notice the church rejects him — like the oldest brother in the parable of the prodigal son; the church will often reject who the Father has anointed and appointed. Warning if you are anointed and appointed you better be mentally and spiritually tough enough to handle rejection and daily inspection.

Forward Thinkers, Paul set out to do the Lord’s will with the risk of losing his life and his freedom. LAG, “Look at God”, what a turnaround story not too long ago, Saul was taking lives; Paul was willing to lose his life to present Jesus Christ as the light of the world.

Side note…When Saul experienced God there were other men with him; I wonder what became of them?

Forward Thinkers, you must change your circle before you can enter into your purpose. Matter of fact you must be willing for God to turn your circle into a triangle with three sides and three points of connection: YouGod, and your Spiritual Coach/Pastor.

Forward Thinkers, Saul is now Paul and he is ready to set out to change the world.

Forward Thinkers, are you ready to produce LAG, “Look at God”, testimonies and impact the world you live in?
