Just one day after the late rapper Nipsey Hussleโ€™s memorial service that was attended by some 21,000 people at Los Angelesโ€™ Staples Center, actress and longtime girlfriend Lauren London inked his face on her arm.

โ€œReal love never dies. When you see me, you will always see him,โ€ London captioned an Instagram photo of the new tattoo, a large image of his face with the words โ€œGod will riseโ€ underneath โ€” the same phrase the rapper had tattooed next to his right eye.

The actress, 34, spoke at the rapperโ€™s memorial, telling the audience that he was the โ€œlove of my life.โ€

She also read aloud a text message she wrote to her late partner:

โ€œI want you to know I feel real joy in my heart when Iโ€™m around you. I feel safe around you. Protected. Like a shield over me when youโ€™re around, I am totally myself when Iโ€™m with you. Youโ€™ve made me into more of a woman. Youโ€™ve given me an opportunity to really love a man.โ€

London isnโ€™t the only one remembering Hussle with permanent ink. Basketball player JR Smith and fellow rapper The Game also had his face inked onto their bodies recently.

Barack Obama, Drake and Kanye West have all spoken out about Hussleโ€™s death.

Hussle and London were together for six years and share a 2-year-old son, Kross. Hussle also leaves behind a daughter Emani Asghedom, from a previous relationship.

London has another son, Cameron Carter, with rapper Lil Wayne.
