Less than 1% of people who have been fully vaccinated for the coronavirus has been hospitalized or died from the virus, according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data.
Less than 0.004% of Americans fully vaccinated face hospitalization after a breakthrough case and less than 0.001% died due to the coronavirus, CNN reported, citing CDC data.
Meanwhile, nearly three-fourths of all breakthrough cases, about 74%, occurred among adults 65 and older, CNN reported.
As of July 26, 6,239 hospitalizations and 1,263 virus-related deaths had been reported among the roughly 165 million people who are fully vaccinated, according to CNN.
So far, roughly 58% of Americans older than 12 has been fully vaccinated.
