LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Don’t Discount Mental Health

It’s great that Olympic medalist Dominique Dawes is publicly supporting Simone Biles’ choice to withdraw from some of the events due to her mental health. It’s important that we support each other behind closed doors, but also publicly, especially the older to younger generations. Biles is a star, but there were people who walked, like Dawes, so that she and others could run.

Misguided

The CDC seems to keep flip-flopping on their own guidance. I want to understand why this is? I guess we have to depend on our own common sense, if we can’t depend on them.

  1. Response to Misguided – Letter to the Editor

I don’t think that the CDC is flip flopping on their own guidance. I think that instructions are revised as new data is collected and events change, such as new variants of the virus. We adjust our lives according to the events of the day, week, month, and year. As data changes, lifestyles change. So in retrospect, life can be up and down. And……when we have difficulty accepting and adjusting …..we seek help. Don’t discount mental health.
