Letters to the Editor

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: King of Maryland

I’m glad former U.S. Education Secretary John King Jr. is entering the gubernatorial race in Maryland. I followed his tenure during his time at the Department of Education. I think it’s a good thing he’s not a politician and this will be his first campaign. Not saying he will get far, but I am open to hear more of what he wants to do.

It’s cool that Barefoot awarded $10,000 each to five Black women entrepreneurs. It’s not going to go very far, obviously, but it’s a great gesture by a corporation to acknowledge their Black women customers. I’m sure other brands will follow. Congrats ladies.
