LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Kudos to Kamala

Congrats to Howard alum, member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Inc. and history-maker Kamala Harris. No matter how some may feel about her and her record regarding truancy, this is a moment in history that should be celebrated. She is our next vice president if we get out and vote!

Message in the Music

I think it’s great that Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter has started a school at Long Island University in his hometown of Brooklyn, N.Y. I know a lot of young people who want to be in the entertainment industry, but they don’t have a road map. This is a great start and an even better idea.
