I was shocked to read that the Supreme Court declined to hear the case for D.C. statehood. I really thought this time around, we had a shot at finally getting representation. I’m truly dejected by the court’s decision. What should residents who are fighting for this cause do now?

Happy to see that Chase Bank is investing in Ward 7 and 8. From what I’ve seen, they are investing in a lot of economically deprived neighborhoods around the country. Kudos to them; however, I will be waiting to see the tangible benefits of their investments in our community.
