It’s good to see that the city council is “eyeing” a financial literacy elective for students. I use to be one of those people that believed it wasn’t the school’s job to raise kids and teach them things they should learn at home. But I’ve learned that if some children don’t get it at school, they simply won’t get it or have to learn the hard way. I agree with making this an elective.

Don’t Forget Seniors
Dear Informer, I would like you all to cover the senior community more. We are a large community within the black community and we have various issues that I’d like to see more. Things like health care, housing and dating, specifically for us. That’s all.
