Maryland reported 13 new coronavirus-related deaths Monday, along with 1,078 new cases, according to the state health department.

However, the state added just one COVID-19-related hospitalization over the 24-hour period, bringing the current total to 763 — 199 of whom are in intensive care.

Additionally, the state’s seven-day average daily positivity rate dipped slightly by .02% to 4.08%, well below the recommended mark of 5%.

Since the start of the pandemic, Maryland has recorded roughly 537,000 coronavirus cases and 10,260 virus-related deaths, according to the state health department.

So far, approximately 3.9 million Maryland residents, or about 63% of the total state population, have been fully vaccinated, according to department statistics.
