Maryland reported 14 new coronavirus-related deaths Monday, one of several pandemic metrics in the state that saw increases over the past 24 hours.
The state health department reported 714 new COVID-19 cases Monday, while the daily seven-day average testing positivity rate rose slightly to 3.5%, up .06% from the previous day but still well below the recommended rate of 5%.
Hospitalizations increased by four to 685, with 184 of those under intensive care.
Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 551,264 confirmed coronavirus cases and 10,490 virus-related deaths in Maryland, according to state data.
As of Monday, about 85% of all Maryland adults have received at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine, with roughly 4 million Marylanders now fully vaccinated, according to the data.
