Maryland reported another record number of coronavirus-related hospitalizations Monday.
The department reported 1,724 hospitalizations, an increase from 1,679 Sunday and the fourth record-setting day in the past week, according to The Baltimore Sun.
The state also recorded 2,314 new cases and 24 virus-related deaths, The Sun reported.
As of Monday afternoon, Maryland has 236,961 coronavirus cases and 4,978 related deaths since the outset of the pandemic earlier this year, according to state health department statistics.
