It pays for Marylanders to get vaccinated against the coronavirus, in more ways than one.

As part of the stateโ€™s GoVAX program, businesses throughout the state are offering discounts to free items to residents who can prove they are vaccinated. Baltimoreโ€™s WBAL-TV reported several businesses and organizations have already signed up and are offering incentives for vaccinated individuals.

For example, the Baltimore Orioles are helping vaccinate fans by providing the Johnson & Johnson one-dose vaccine at Dempseyโ€™s Brew Pub & Restaurant. WBAL reported those vaccinated at the clinic will receive a voucher to redeem two complimentary Lower-Level tickets for an upcoming game at Orioles Park at Camden Yards.

The National Aquarium will offer half-price tickets for general admission during Half-Price Friday Nights while in nearby Hanover, the Medieval Times plans to extend to vaccinated people 25% off discount on adult and children admission tickets that includes dinner and a show.

Ayers Creek Adventures in Berlin, on the stateโ€™s Eastern Shore, will offer vaccinated residents the chance to receive 10% off kayak or paddleboard rentals when proof of vaccinations is shown. In Rockville, located in Montgomery County, Total Recon Auto Center is offering a 10% discount on any auto detailing package for those who are vaccinated, WBAL reported.
