MDA Summer Camp: ‘One-of-a-Kind Youth Experience’

Safeway employees recently sponsored a Make Your Own Sundae Ice Cream Social for approximately 200 campers and family members at this year’s Muscular Dystrophy Association summer camp in Chestertown, Maryland.

Safeway’s Eastern Division has both a long tradition of advocacy for the special needs community and history of supporting MDA.

The summer camp is offered at no cost to families and focuses on youth ages 6 to 17 with muscular dystrophy and related life-threatening diseases.

As a major MDA supporter, Safeway Inc., customers and the Safeway Foundation help children create lifelong friendships, build self-confidence and develop independence.
