Former first lady Michelle Obama will debut a new childrenโ€™s food show on Netflix in hopes of bringing a โ€œbit of light and laughter to homes around the world.โ€

The โ€œWaffles + Mochiโ€ show, which features two puppet friends, begins streaming on March 16.

The show, which aligns with Obamaโ€™s previous Partnership for a Healthier America initiative, is โ€œall about good food, discovering it, cooking it, and of course, eating it,โ€ according to an Obama Instagram post.

The characters โ€œcome from the land of frozen foods and with the help of friendly new faces like the supermarket owner, Mrs. Obama [and] Waffles and Mochi who blast off on global ingredient missions, traveling to kitchens, restaurants, farms and homes all over the world,โ€ Netflix said.

The program will also focus on improving the diets of millions of children by updating federal nutrition standards and bringing healthier meals to schools.
