Microsoft Is Offering 100GB Of Free OneDrive Storage To Dropbox Users

OneDrive-Permissions

(Forbes) – Microsoft has been giving away a lot of freebies through their cloud computing storage service OneDrive lately. Last week, Microsoft gave away 100GB of free storage for two years to create a Bing Rewards account. And now Microsoft OneDrive is offering 100GB of free storage for one year to Dropbox users.

The offer is limited to current Dropbox users and the first 10 million people to redeem it. The OneDrive bonus storage is not available to customers with OneDrive for Business either. You can receive 100GB of free OneDrive storage for a year by visiting the OneDrive bonus website and logging in with your Microsoft account. Once you log in, the OneDrive app will ask you for standard permissions to access your information. OneDrive will need you permission to sign in automatically, view your contact list, access your e-mail addresses and add/remove bonus storage to your account.

Microsoft OneDrive also has to verify that you have a Dropbox account by uploading a PDF file called “Getting Started with OneDrive” to a Dropbox folder. This will require you to log in to your Dropbox account. After the PDF has been uploaded, you will be redirected to a confirmation page that says “Your bonus storage was successfully applied!” The 100GB of free cloud storage is known as the “Enthusiast bonus” in the OneDrive account.
