John Morrow Jr. has received the $100,000 Pritzker Military Museum & Library Literature Award for lifetime achievement in military writing from the Chicago museum.
Morrow, 75, who has written several books on World War I, chairs the history department at the University of Georgia. His areas of expertise include modern European history, war and diplomacy, World War I, and world history.
Morrow, a member of Presidential Counselors of The National WWII Museum in New Orleans, serves on the advisory board of the Center for Oral History at the U.S. Military Academy in West Point.
