More than 615,000 people were fully vaccinated against the coronavirus each day over the past week, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

An average of nearly 523,000 additional people got their first dose each day, CNN reported, citing CDC data published Wednesday.

The seven-day average of vaccine doses administered fell to about 1.1 million doses per day, however, down from a peak of about 3.3 million doses per day in mid-April, CNN reported.

As of Thursday, roughly 51% of the U.S. population has been fully vaccinated, according to a CDC tracker.
