MUHAMMAD: Trump May One Day Be Pardoned, But Never Exonerated

https://bit.ly/WI2020graduates

Never in his natural life will Donald J. Trump be exonerated. The Dotard is guilty of much more rot and sleaze than that of which he can even be accused. He is neck-deep in wrongdoing. Therefore, one fine day though, he may need to be pardoned, because as human beings go, he’s guilty as sin.

If the House of Representatives votes to approve Articles of Impeachment of The Bum (a likely outcome, though not soon enough), if the Senate votes to let him remain in office after a trial (very likely), even if the 2020 election goes in his favor (there will be massive voter suppression and outright thievery going on in his behalf at the polls next year), even if he defies every remaining Constitutional convention, like his threat to stay in office for a third term, he will one day face a reckoning because he is a crook and because he’s committed massive crimes against humanity and even against the Planet Earth itself. He’s guilty of much worse than that Ukrainian phone call.

Even if it looks like he looks like the fat rat in a cheese factory that he is, he will one day need a pardon in order to escape the wrath of the law. “Indeed, I tremble for my country when reflect that God is just: that his justice cannot sleep forever,” U.S. Founding Father Thomas Jefferson proclaimed in his “Notes on the State of Virginia,” as though he could foresee the Trump era, 250 years into the future. Trump should tremble.

Exoneration, on the other hand, is what Black folks, the poor, and the left behind need in this society — from the Rt. Hon. Marcus Mosiah Garvey 100 years ago who yet deserves a pardon, up to the innocent Central Park Five, who Trump wanted to see executed before their trials, right up to Alfred Chestnut, Ransom Watkins and Andrew Stewart, three convicted murderers who were exonerated and freed from prison in Maryland after serving 36 years in jail for a crime they did not commit — especially innocent Black people accused of crimes, those folks need an “Innocence Project,” or a “crime integrity unit” (such as the one established by Baltimore prosecutor Marilyn Mosby which recently freed the trio) because the system is rigged against them, and has been since they defined Black folks as three-fifths of a person for Census purposes.

Pardon is a big one for pardons. He’s pardoned former appointees, as well as convicted war criminals — he says he’s proud of such “warriors.” Warriors? Gladiators? National security is not a choreographed, smack-down spectator sport where the loudest mouth with the cleverest put-down of the other side gets extra points. He’s hinted at a promise to other aides: if they lie for him and get caught, he will pardon them.

Like Richard Nixon, if The Donald walks out of the White House into civilian life again, he will need a pardon in advance. Trump is a crook.

What is mysterious, however, is white evangelicals’ embrace of this apparently godless man. with multiple wives (all of whom he conspicuously cheated on), who paid hush money to adult movie stars and nude models, who has multiple bankruptcies, who is notorious for not paying those who work for him or supply him products, and who’s told more than 15,000 lies (500 per month) since he’s been in office. What is mysterious is how these supposedly reverent people can fix their mouths to say that this wicked person was sent to the world, via the United States, to be some sort of savior for humanity, like some Second Coming of Christ or something. They defend him by saying that King David was an immoral man, yet a servant of God.

Well, it is possible that the evil yearnings of white people finally produced a world leader who will unashamedly proclaim and fight for the benefit of the White Tribe, regardless of the righteousness, or justice of the cause. Donald is just such a White Man.

The Donald only wants his white tribe to succeed, at the expense of everyone else, that’s how he knows his side is winning — by the howls and complaints of those he’s crushing beneath his boot. Oh, well.

And he never even has the decency to say “pardon me” when he commits his succession of ugly, criminal acts on the entire world.
