There are no words to describe the utter contempt I have for Donald J. Trump and the millions of white tribalists who view him as their champion.

No invectives. No curses. No insults. No pejoratives. No slanders. Besides, that would be just a waste of air.

Trump is immune to damaging truth, and his โ€œdeplorableโ€ constituents, who virtually willed him into existence, love him for the down-home kind of stench that surrounds him.

Nothing new can be said or even proven that can be worse than what is already emphatically known and documented about this egomaniac, an inveterate liar and a rapacious xenophobe who routinely goes out of his way to insult and incite resentment toward Black people, Muslims, and even members of the U.S. Congress, telling a group to โ€œgo backโ€ to โ€œthe crime infested places from which they came.โ€

His latest disgusting remarks were directed at โ€œThe Squad,โ€ four freshmen House Democrats โ€” Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (N.Y.), Ayanna Pressley (Mass.), Ilhan Omar (Minn.) and Rashida Tlaib (Mich.). Well, as they say in their polite debate etiquette on Capitol Hill: โ€œI associate myself with The Squad.โ€

Meanwhile, if this billionaire bully really thinks that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) would be happy to arrange free transportation for The Squad to those places, as he said, then Iโ€™ll be happy to accept my travel arrangements: right back to Mississippi!

This Trump stuff is ugly, and wrong, on so many levels.

Of his four targets โ€” all U.S. citizens, all non-white โ€” only Omar was born outside of the U.S., and she has actually been a citizen longer than Trumpโ€™s current wife Melania.

In fact, two of Trumpโ€™s three ex-spouses are immigrants. Trumpโ€™s mother was an immigrant. Trumpโ€™s fatherโ€™s parents were both immigrants.

โ€œThere has never been a president in American history who has been so openly racist and divisive as this man,โ€ said former Vice President Joe Biden, whoโ€™s vying for the Democratic presidential nomination to face Trump in 2020.

Trumpโ€™s also a hypocrite whoโ€™s told more than 11,000 lies during his 30 months in office.

Pelosi correctly parodied Trumpโ€™s slogan, describing its ugly intent to โ€œMake America White Again.โ€ Trumpโ€™s ugly, racist anti-immigration campaign is stoking that same white tribalism that is rearing its ugly head all over the planet.

America is prosperous and secure, thanks in large measure โ€” large measure โ€” to the centuries of free labor by millions of enslaved Africans, and their courage in every war. Africans built the country and made it rich, but rather than appreciate the forced sacrifice made by Black people, white folks feel like if ever any debt might possibly have been owed to The Darkies because of those long-ago alleged injustices perpetrated by people who are all now dead, naw, white folks feel like if there was a debt, it was paid for by making Barack Obama president.

The bottom line is, this didnโ€™t start with a few tweets from Trump. I believe that since April 9, 1865, when Gen. Robert E. Lee surrendered to Gen. Ulysses S. Grant, the white tribe, the would-be neo-Confederates have bee trying to reverse the outcome of the Civil War. If they could have their way, Blacks would be enslaved again.

I agree with historians who feel that we are in the midst of the โ€œthird Reconstruction.โ€ The first Reconstruction was immediately after the War, only to be beaten back by the white tribalists in just 12 years. The second Reconstruction was after Brown v. Board of Education ruled โ€œseparate but equalโ€ segregation was unconstitutional. That was beaten back and co-opted. Then came the Obama Reconstruction, and now the Trump presidency is the natural and predictable white backlash to Black progress.

So Trump is a natural phenomenon, the personification of the United Statesโ€™ long history of wickedness, cruelty, racism-fueled hostility and oppression.

So I stand with The Squad.

Furthermore, Iโ€™d be happy to be sent with all my family back to Mississippi, and Washington, D.C. Thatโ€™s my root, and I thatโ€™s where Trump and the white tribalists can find me.
