Television viewership for Washington Mystics games has surged 34% in the Washington, D.C., and Baltimore markets through the first 20 games of the 2025 WNBA season compared to last year, according to Nielsen Research data.
The increase comes as the team enters the All-Star break with an exciting young roster that has captured local fans’ attention. Live Mystics games on Monumental Sports Network have consistently outperformed competing networks during the same time slots, beating ESPN2 in 94% of games and Fox Sports 1 in 88% of matchups.
Streaming numbers tell an even stronger story. Mystics fans have streamed 26% more average minutes per user than during the first half of the 2024 season, while unique streaming viewers have increased 39% year-over-year. The growth has been driven partly by the launch of the Monumental+ digital platform last fall.

The viewing surge coincides with two Mystics rookies earning WNBA All-Star honors this season, reflecting the team’s promising young core.
Monumental Sports Network will air 38 regular season Mystics games this season. Beyond live broadcasts, the network’s coverage includes pregame and postgame shows, plus original programming like the award-winning “Mystics Courtside” and “Fresh Paint.”
Local fans can watch games through their TV provider or via streaming platforms within the network’s coverage area, which stretches from Richmond to Delaware. The games are available on monumentalplus.com or through the Monumental+ app on various devices including iOS, Android, Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV and Xbox.
