Grammy-winning rapper Nas will perform his debut album “Illmatic” with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra in a one-night-only concert on July 23, 2025.

The show, titled “NAS: Illmatic Live with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra,” will take place at 7:30 p.m. at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall.

The collaboration merges hip-hop with classical music, reimagining the iconic album with full orchestral arrangements.

The performance marks 30 years since the release of “Illmatic,” widely regarded as one of hip-hop’s greatest albums. The 1994 record includes tracks like “N.Y. State of Mind,” “The World Is Yours” and “Memory Lane (Sittin’ in Da Park).”

Throughout his career, Nas has released 14 albums, including multi-platinum works “Nastradamus,” “Stillmatic” and “God’s Son.” He has earned 16 Grammy nominations and won Best Rap Album in 2020 for “King’s Disease.”

“Welcoming Nas to perform alongside the BSO will be a highlight of the year,” said Mark Hanson, president and CEO of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.

Tickets range from $75 to $299 and are available through the BSO website or at the Meyerhoff box office.
