TV actor Nathaniel Taylor, best known for his role as Rollo on the hit โ€™70s sitcom โ€œSanford and Son,โ€ has died. He was 80.

Taylor died Wednesday after suffering a heart attack over the weekend, according to his friend, entertainer/promoter Alonzo Williams.

โ€œToday Black Hollywood lost a โ€™70s legend Nathaniel Taylor better known as Rollo,โ€ Williams said in a statement. โ€œ[His] character on โ€˜Sanfordโ€™ and was the lovable, funny but questionable friend of Lamont, the co-star of the show.โ€

Taylor would have celebrated his 81st birthday on March 31.

A funeral service is pending.
